About the Position: Logistics Management Specialist in an AMCOM Logistics Center (ALC) supporting organizational elements by assuring that critical actions are integrated and properly executed to meet logistics support requirements.

Duties
Monitor and coordinate maintenance functions for assigned systems and/or associated system equipment.
Develop time frame schedules for distribution of the assigned equipment and for all maintenance support planning.
Monitor and coordinate material management aspects of assigned systems and/or similar equipment to ensure logistics support.
Monitor materiel readiness posture of assigned systems and assures positive action is taken to maintain weapon system readiness.
Provide management direction for acquisition and distribution of major items and repair parts.
Direct International Logistics programs and maintain a working knowledge of the maintenance management functions, from initial procurement through the life cycle to disposal of the supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- May be required to ride as a passenger of Army Rotary-wing Aircraft (Utility and Cargo).
- May be required to irregular duty hours or on-call.
- Mobility agreement which requires written consent to comply with management directed permanent change of station (PCS) movement and/or deployment to support overseas contingency operations in order to meet mission requirements.
- Pass and maintain favorable deployment physical at any time.
- Valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions or country of assignment.
- Acquisition certification, Foundational or Contracting Professional, Life Cycle Logistics, within 3 years of job entry.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent which includes integrating and coordinating several separate logistics functions throughout the life cycle of weapons systems/equipment, developing support plans based on the specific requirements of the systems/equipment, and performing tasks associated with maintenance of supply systems readiness and management of material and equipment.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
