Duties
Serves as a team leader and senior specialist in a division responsible for establishing and enforcing policy and providing expert technical distribution operation support, resource, and financial advice and services.
Manages and analyzes various budget programs and resources to ensure budget programs are available.
Interprets and clarifies policies and procedures to all levels of management and employees.
Serves as central point of contact for site commanders to provide service and support.
Serve as coach, facilitator and negotiator in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus building activities among team members.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Lead Supply Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Developing, plans, implements and administers programs for command supply distribution operations and programs. Serving as the senior technical advisor on the team to the distribution center commander in overall distribution operations and performance. Ensuring that the distribution center develops long range storage utilization plans and enforces policy for stock positioning.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
