The Secretary acts as the principal Office Assistant who provides administrative assistance to the Director, Quality Management and supporting Quality Management staff including Systems Redesign Coordinator, Risk Manager, Patient Safety Specialists, Accreditation Manager, Utilization Management Coordinators, Performance Improvement Specialists and Data Analysts.
Duties

Major duties and responsibilities include:
Providing the primary secretarial support and administrative assistant to the Director, Quality Management and Quality Management staff which entails processing a wide variety of transactions for more than one type of assigned activity or functional specialization; and as such is responsible for active participation in the management of the administrative office.
Managing the medical center policy library issuance by overseeing the medical centers policy process - to include notification of authors when a policy is due for revision/update and monitoring/tracking completed policies through the point of issuance.
Assisting and supports clerical staff throughout the medical center in the formatting and issuance of their policies.
Developing and processing incoming and outgoing materials such as correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication.
Providing general clerical mail and correspondence services such as preparing a variety of recurring reports, reviewing outgoing correspondence for proper attachments, or consolidating/coordinating submittals of information.
Scheduling appointments, coordinates meetings, and/or schedules conferences. Providing general calendar maintenance and clerical services such as maintaining calendars and recording appointments.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00pm

Qualifications
IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION AT THE GS-6 LEVEL YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) needed to successfully perform the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to this Secretary position to be filled? Specialized experience for this position includes processing incoming and outgoing materials such as correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication; scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings and/or scheduling conferences; maintaining calendars and tracking suspense items. (THIS EXPERIENCE MUST BE SUPPORTED BY YOUR RESUME TO BE CREDITABLE.)
