This position is in Office of Land and Emergency Management (OLEM)/Office of Superfund Remediation & Technology Innovation (OSRTI)/Resource Management Division (RMD)/Budget, Planning and Evaluation Branch (BPEB). About the Office of Land and Emergency Management | US EPA. This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.*Work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized as described in the Benefits section.

Qualifications

We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below: To qualify for the GS-15 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-14 level defined as experience formulating and executing large and complex budgets, leading data analysis, modeling performance measurementfunctions and producing clear, well written analytical products. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Ability to lead a staff of technical and/or administrative personnel Ability to set a series of annual, multi-year or similar long-range work plans and schedules for in-service or contracted work Skill in managing the development of policy changes in response to changes in levels of appropriation or other legislated changes Ability to effectively communicate program goals, policies and priorities to staff Ability to take timely corrective actions on all identified management control weaknesses Skill in negotiating with or persuading others to accept various approaches and concepts when conflicts are involved Ability to communicate effectively in writing Ability to set work plans and schedules ensuring implementation by team leaders, subordinates and others Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
