Duties
You will assist with assessing the EEO/Affirmative Action posture of the assigned activity, developing proposed plans of action for affecting numerical goals and objectives.
You will advise supervisors/managers of status of EEO/AA program implementation.
You will assist supervisors/managers to develop and implement organizational EEO/AA program plans, provide subject matter training, and monitor and report progress of EEO/AA implementation.
You will participate in the processing of EEO complaints within the assigned activity, and recommend acceptance/rejection of formal complaints to EEOO per regulatory requirements.
You will prepare releases for the work force, labor organizations, and community organizations concerning EEO program progress, and cite opportunities available.
You will participate in the community as a represenatative of the assigned activity for EEO/AA related events to establish contact with local organizations.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
GS-07:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing interview questions in order to obtain relevant information regarding EEO complaints; 2) Demonstrating effective communication skills in order to conduct interviews with all parties in the EEO complaint process and obtain relevant EEO information; 3) Demonstrating extensive writing skills to draft a comprehensive Counselor's Report regarding EEO complaints; 4) Utilizing Microsoft Office and other software programs to create electronic case files in order to upload EEO documents in iComplaints and other EEO systems.
GS-09:

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing interview questions in order to obtain relevant information regarding EEO complaints; 2) Demonstrating effective communication skills in order to conduct interviews with all parties in the EEO complaint process and obtain relevant EEO information; 3) Demonstrating extensive writing skills to draft a comprehensive Counselor's Report regarding EEO complaints; 4) Utilizing Microsoft Office and other software programs to create electronic case files in order to upload EEO documents in iComplaints and other EEO systems; 5) Counseling employees regarding their rights and responsibilities in accordance with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) requirements; 6) Delivering EEO training to the workforce on topics such as EEO, Reasonable Accommodation, Prevention of Sexual Harassment, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

GS-07:
1 full year of graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement.

a combination of education and experience.
GS-09:
A master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
or
a combination of education and experience.
