You will serve as a EQUAL EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST in the CINC HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE of COMNAVREG SE JAX.
Duties
You will review, develop and implement procedures for processing informal and formal individual and class complaints of discrimination.
You will serve as the team lead and provide detailed guidance to EEO Counselors in the proper execution of processing EEO complaints.
You will work closely with investigators in the conduct of EEO investigations during the formal EEO complaint process.
You will assemble and organize appropriate EEO documentation; respond to inquiries from investigators; and coordinate other personnel/officials in order to assist in the execution of investigations.
You will work closely with the EEOC in the preparation and conduct of hearings by processing hearing requests and submitting EEO complaint hearing files to the EEOC, DoN EEO Office, and other appropriate officials.
You will deliver training to the workforce on EEO programs, to include EEO complaint processing, reasonable accommodations, prevention of sexual harassment, Special Emphasis Program, and Affirmative Employment Program.
You will administer the Reasonable Accommodation (RA) Program and assist management and employees by explaining the RA process, receiving RA requests, conducting RA disability analysis, requesting a job search, drafting RA correspondence, etc.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting in preparation of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) investigations or complaints processes: 1) Locating, assembling, and organizing appropriate documentation required for the case file; 2) Developing and presenting facts, considerations, and recommendations to supervisors and managers for decisions on complaints; 3) Advising managers and employees on EEO policies, procedures, laws, and regulations; and 4) Conducting briefings, orientation, or training for managers, supervisors, and employees on EEO program requirements.
