You will serve as a Management and Program Analyst (Project Manager) for the Small Business Administration, Office of Disaster Recovery & Resilience, Executive Support Division, Washington DC. This position develops and manages project plans and schedules, estimates resource requirements, defines milestones and deliverables, monitors activities, and evaluates and reports on accomplishments.
Duties
As a Management and Program Analyst (Project Manager) at the GS-0343-14, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Providing project management support for complete project life cycle consistent with the DR&R goals and objectives.
Participating in technical reviews, forming technical working groups, and providing recommended resolution of complex strategy and policy formulation issues.
Setting and managing stakeholder expectations, both internally and externally.
Planning, developing, executing, and enforcing assigned positions of standard methods, procedures, and tools to satisfy the project customers with quality products and services.
Undertaking risk analysis to identify and assess potential concerns to minimize risks
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Mandatory Overtime: In order to respond quickly and efficiently to disaster survivors, substantial compensated overtime hours may be required while on assignment (up to seven days a week and twelve to fourteen hours a day).
If required to travel to a disaster site, you may encounter hazardous working and/or living conditions, for example, no water or electricity and/or minimal lodging facilities.
A valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If qualifying based on related unpaid (e.g. volunteer service) experience, you must provide hours worked per week and beginning/ending dates (mm/yyyy to mm/yyyy).
You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Experience: To receive credit, you must indicate the month and year as well as the average hours worked per week for each employer or that experience will not be credited for meeting the specialized experience requirement.
GS-14: To qualify you must have at least 1 full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-13 level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. This experience may have been gained in a Non-Federal service position. In addition, this Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
*1. Applying project management principles, methods, and/or practices to manage a project.
*2. Experience in developing and/or managing assigned projects to meet established business requirements.
*3. Working knowledge of capital planning regulations and policies as applied to business requirements.
*4. Skill in financial management sufficient to analyze contract cost elements and validity of expenditures is required.
*5. Professional experience liaising with contractors on deliverables to ensure they meet the needs of an organization and/or contract task orders.
