You will serve as a Financial Technician in the Aviation Support Department of STRIKE FIGHTER WING PACIFIC STAFF. Salary Clarification: GS-05: $37,696 - $49,009 GS-06: $42,022 - $54,625

Duties

You will apply specific rules, regulations, or procedures to a full range of accounting, budget or financial management technical tasks, duties, and assignments. You will examine, verify, maintain and reconcile accounts and accounting data. You will answer requests and provide advice to employees, supervisors, staff in other financial management series and personnel specialists on pay related rules, regulations, and procedures. You will establish, maintain, correct and close pay accounts for active, reserve, or retired armed forces personnel and their annuitants. You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintain ledgers, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

For the GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing financial management services to include entering data into automated systems, reviewing invoices, and verifying accuracy of documents in support of accounting, budgetary, or payroll functions. For the GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing financial management support to include sorting financial documents, maintaining files, and/or identifying discrepancies in data in support of accounting, budgetary, or payroll functions.
