The primary purpose is to exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the Resource Management Section of the Force Support Squadron. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring financial service operations and establishing internal accounting controls.

Duties

Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short/long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Resource Management Section. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and resource management objectives. Represents the Force Support Squadron with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Serves as the single custodian of all Non-Appropriated Funds Instrumentalities serviced by the NAF Accounting Office, and as such, is responsible for receiving, safeguarding and disbursing funds and other NAF assets of the NAFI.

  • Financial Management Statement- This is a Financial Management Level (1, 2, or 3) Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Force Support Resource Management Section. Serves as the single custodian of all Non-Appropriated Funds Instrumentalities serviced by the Resource Management Section, and as such, is responsible for receiving, safeguarding, and disbursing funds and other financial assets. Keeps senior management informed of progress of programs and advises of any significant developments that may impact plans. Has knowledge of the requirements, techniques, procedures, and practices of generally accepted accounting principles and standards in both Appropriated Fund and Non-Appropriated Fund accounting and automation systems. Has use and is familiar with General Ledger Accounting, Knowledge of internal audit procedures to monitor financial services and establish internal controls. KSAs Knowledge of commonly used budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes to formulate, justify, and execute budgets and financial goals in support of the mission, structure, goals, work processes, and programs of the organization. Knowledge of the requirements, techniques, procedures, and practices of generally accepted accounting principles and standards Knowledge of internal audit procedures to monitor financial services and establish internal controls.
