Duties
Serves as IMCOM Directorate (ID) CYS Program Manager with responsibility for the planning, directing, coordinating, managing, reviewing and evaluating all actions concerned with providing CYS operations regulatory requirements.
Applies extensive professional knowledge to implement a comprehensive CYS program for a diverse population of children and youth birth through age 18 years.
Serves as ID CYS subject matter expert on CYS operations and CYS professional training/staff qualifications.
Develops long and short-range plans to meet current and projected CYS funding, facility construction and renovation, program expansion and personnel needs.
Ensures installation CYS programs achieve and maintain DoD certification (three different certifications) and national accreditation with four different professional criteria.

- Extensive travel is required.
- Duties involve working both indoors and outdoors.
- Position sensitivity II; must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Qualifications
1. Successful completion of a 4-year college or university degree with a major course of study/substantial course work which directly relates to a CYS field: early childhood/elementary/secondary/special education, recreation, human development, psychology, or a closely related field such as social work, home economics, or related behavioral sciences.
2. Graduate degree preferred.
OR
A combination of education and experience - courses equivalent to a major in a subject matter field (24 semester hours) appropriate to the position (see above), plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above.
In addition, candidate must possess.
1. At least 5 years working in child and/or youth programs as a CYS manager or educational/academic leader.
2. General knowledge of MWR programs, APF and NAF funding and oversight relationship to CYS programs.
3. Experience working with regulatory, personnel, funding, and budgeting proponents. Knowledge of management analysis, personnel development, and financial programs.
4. Strong organizational skills with capability to manage multiple projects effectively.
5. Comprehensive oral and communications skills and analytical writing skills. Ability to present ideas and proposals to a variety of audiences.
