You will serve as a Telecommunications Specialist in the Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group (MCCOG).
Duties
You will perform customer service activities in order to facilitate circuit activations and troubleshoot outages.
You will Independently plan and implement assigned functional responsibilities that may require work efforts of military, civilian, and/or contracted support
personnel.
You will perform a periodic review of existing equipment, services, and systems to validate established requirements.
You will use established measurement criteria to perform regular analysis of telecommunications system traffic reports.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Responsible for maintaining DoD Directive 8570 IAM Level I certification until superseded by DoD Directive 8140 requirements.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance. Failure to meet any security requirements may result in the withdrawal of position offer or termination from the position.
- The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays due to unplanned operations or unique situations.
- This position is telework eligible.
- This position requires 10% travel.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by monitoring telecommunication plans, analyzing telecommunication equipment/software, and monitor vendors performance to ensure they are fufilling contract requirements for equipment and services.
