The position is located under the Associate Direct Patient Care Services/Nurse Executive (ADPCS/NE) and works closely with network and facility leaders and staff to incorporate new concepts and programs and provides education and training to all facility staff impacted by program, role, or technology changes.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. You may qualify based on your experience as described below: GS-12 Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR): The 0671 series requires specific education or experience to be met in order to be appointed into a position of this series. Examples of the Individual Occupational Requirement Experiences as set by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) for this occupation and grade level, GS-12 may include: Undergraduate and Graduate Education in a Major study of hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. Transcripts required. OR Experience of progressively responsible analytical or administrative, or clinical management or supervisory experience in the health care field. This work may have been performed in an operating health care facility or a higher organizational echelon with advisory or directional authority over such facilities. Work must have involved a close working relationship with facility managers and analysis and/or coordination of administrative, clinical, or other service activities, and provided knowledge of the following: Missions, organizations, programs, and requirements of health care delivery systems; Regulations and standards of various regulatory and credentialing groups; and Government-wide, agency, and facility systems and requirements in various administrative areas such as budget, personnel, and procurement In addition to the individual occupational requirement above, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, GS-11 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Select the appropriate answer to each of the following questions based on your current level of experience that demonstrates your ability to perform the duties of this position at the GS-12 level. Specialized Experience: GS-12 grade level: In addition to the individual occupational requirement above, you must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: Developing, refining, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive strategic plan for telehealth programming; Tracking and disseminating, outcome measures, including clinical data, patient and travel costs, and patient and staff satisfaction measures; Identifying alternate partnerships and funding sources; Providing direct supervision for staff, planning the work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting, and adjusting short-term priorities and preparing schedules for completion of the work; Providing oversight and guidance to assure that all technologies selected for use in telehealth programs comply with the requirements of the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other relevant directives and guidance; Designing studies, training programs and organizational strategies related to improving access and efficiency of clinical and administrative programs. NOTE: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month & year starting and ending dates AND hours worked per week There is no educational substitution for the GS-12 level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

There is no educational substitution for the GS-12 level.
