About the Position: The pay band NH-02 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-05 to 11. Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA) mission statement: To receive, store, ship, produce, renovate and demilitarize conventional ammunition, missiles and related components to meet contingency requirements in support of the warfighter.

Duties

Conduct safety and occupational health surveys at the Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA). Direct investigation of accidents and analyzes precipitating factors and accident cause data. Advise on the status of the safety and occupational health programs and recommends changes. Develop and implement safety education activities. Report to cognizant Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA) leaders about the existence of hazardous conditions and/or safety deficiencies.

Requirements

OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major study in safety or occupational health fields (safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene), or degree in other related fields that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours of study from among the following (or closely related) disciplines: safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, engineering, and industrial psychology. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120.
