About the Position: Fort Eisenhower is in Augusta, Georgia, home of the Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE) and future headquarters of ARMY CYBER COMMAND (ARCYBER). It is approximately 142 miles east of Atlanta, 80 miles southwest of Columbia, South Carolina and 122 miles northwest of Savannah, Georgia. Ft Gordon's location offers close proximity to a metropolitan area and is an easy drive from Atlanta, Savannah, the beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains.

Duties

Conduct scheduled and non-scheduled periodic, semi-annual, cyclic, and special joint physical inventories of all property, non-expendable and durable supplies in use, on loan, in storage, or awaiting disposition. Responsible for ensuring that all DES requisitions for the purchase of equipment, personal property, and supplies are properly reviewed for authorization and processed according to all Army Regulations. Identify hand receipt holders for Law Enforcement (LE), Physical Security Division (PSD), Fire Department (FD) and DES HQ to be appointed real, owned/controlled or accountable property. Manage and forecast the Operational Basic Load for the DES Law Enforcement Center arms room, to include pick up, turn-in, rotation, and inspection of ammunition.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license and any installation and/or DoD license required for the type of vehicle being driven.
  • This position is a drug testing position.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: any major field of study. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18.
