About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia, Cyber Protection Brigade.
Duties
Serve as a supply specialist at a Battalion headquarters within the Cyber Protection Brigade (CPB) with responsibility in areas of property accountability, Government Purchase card (GPC) Program, and supply requisitions.
Serve as the central point of contact for requisitioning and receipt of supplies, materials, and services.
Modify supply account records to reflect routine adjustments in supply levels required by usage changes, physical inventories, transfers of property, and physical location changes.
Incumbent is the primary GPC holder for the Battalion and its subordinate Cyber Protection Teams (CPT).
Ensure all mandatory source requirements are met, that card purchase and payment do not exceed authorized limit per purchase and that no unauthorized or split purchases are made, as well as compliance with regulatory guidance for the GPC Program
Perform recurring assignments, operations, and procedures involving property and equipment management, coordination, and control for a local inventory management program.
Perform technical supply work and assists with maintaining the Primary Hand Receipts via the Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A).
Assist battalion and CPTs with initiation of Financial Liability Investigations for Property Loss (FLIPL) along with overall FLIPL management within the Battalion.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- May be required to carry a cellular telephone/Portable Electronic Device (PED) and maintain a working personal telephone at all times.
- Duties of this position may entail alternative work schedules (AWS) such as variable or MAXI FLEX, including extended shifts (12 hours), 24/7 rotating shifts, and nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- The employee is subject to recall for urgent situations and working extended overtime in response to surge situations.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret/SCI security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by screening purchase requests for completeness and adequacy; assisting with the preparation and clarification of required documentation for submission; planning and forecasting inventory needs under changing technological or program requirements; analyzing needs that go beyond the application of guidelines to resolve specific supply problems; and determining the need to adjust supply system levels for standard parts and expendable items in response to fluctuations in rates of usage, costs, availability, alternative sources of supply, and other similar conditions.
