About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security - Warehouse Division on Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville. Both visitors & residents enjoy the shops & eateries of downtown Hopkinsville & Clarksville. The cost of living is lower than the average for all major U.S. cities.

Duties

Serve as Supervisory Supply Technician for Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security, Training Supply Center. Direct employees and controls assigned stock of Training Aids, Devices, Simulations and Simulators (TADDS) with responsibility for ensuring adequate materials/supplies to meet customer demands. Establish and approve standard operating procedures. Provide TADDS utilization information VIA Training Support Material Army wide Tracking System (TS-MATS) to Army Training Support Center to be used to justify keeping existing TADDS or acquiring new or additional TADDS. Perform first level supervisory functions for the for the Training Support Center.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualifications requirement using experience alone - no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
