About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Public Works, Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville. Both visitors & residents enjoy the shops & Directorate of Public Works eateries of downtown Hopkinsville & Clarksville. The cost of living is lower than the average for all major U.S. cities.
Duties
Manage stock, inventory and financials to determine supply and demand trends.
Serve as the Primary Purchase Card Cardholder responsible for purchasing and researching cost, availability, and delivery criteria.
Maintain control of requisitions to ensure accuracy and completeness of inventory.
Research aspects of new materiel using data trends to ensure supply is readily available.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a valid state drivers license and any installation and/or DoD license required for the type of vehicle being driven.
- This position may require 5% temporary duty (TDY).
- This position requires a pre-employment physical examination.
- This position is designated as Inclement Weather Essential. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
- This position requires that you obtain and maintain a 6k Forklift Operator's license within 6 months of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Conducting periodic inventories of excess property and equipment; 2) Processing individual organization supply purchase card transactions; 3) Inputting supply data utilizing consolidated supply system database and 4) Maintaining supply files according to records information management system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade, time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
