About the Position: This position is located at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Serve as the Chief Health Informatics Officer (CHIO) as the strategic advisor in the development, implementation, and evaluation of health informatics to support medical practices. Support the deployment, sustainment and optimization of the systems with the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Assist the leadership with Health Informatics Programs by managing and being responsible for all Health Informatics related activities. Establish an effective process to elevate Health Informatics related issues to Headquarters when unable to adequately address the issue. Develop quality improvement initiatives in the area of health informatics. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
