About the Position: Serve as the Principal Deputy responsible for providing executive-level advice and recommendations to the Deputy Training, Readiness and Mobilization (DASA-TRM) and the Manpower Reserve Affairs (ASA-M&RA). The position is located at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.

Duties

Develop new programs or changes to existing processes/programs to meet the evolving needs of the Army's total force. Implement and review Army plans and programs for training, readiness and reserve component mobilization. Prepare and present ideas to senior leaders for decision making purposes. Persuade others to implement changes in Army mobilization and force generation processes. Serves as immediate supervisor for senior military and civilian personnel.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) of 25% may be required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Change ManagementHuman Resources ManagementPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
