This position is located on Fort Johnson in Leesville, Louisiana. Duties

Perform heavy physical labor requiring the frequent lifting and carrying of items and furniture weighing 80 to 100 pounds or more. Performs general maintenance of NAF facilities requiring use of heavy powered equipment and heavy tools. Resets nails, replaces hardware, relocate playgrounds, flowerbeds and portable structures Advises facility director of potential safety hazards and identifies repairs required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for this position are the following: 1.Knowledge of processes which require remembering directions and/or sequences. 2. Knowledge and skill in the operation, control, and cleaning of heavy, power equipment. 3. Knowledge to work safely with heavy tools (axes, picks, tampers, chain saws, etc). 4. Skill in performing routine operator maintenance and adjusting the cutting height of blades of power mowers or in operating weight handling devises when moving heavy loads.
