This announcement is in conjunction with the Fort Johnson Job Fair on Tuesday, 25 June 2024. Applications will be accepted at the event to be held at the ACS Building #920. Duties

Perform heavy physical labor requiring the frequent lifting and carrying of items and furniture weighing 80 to 100 pounds or more. Performs general maintenance of NAF facilities requiring use of heavy powered equipment and heavy tools. Resets nails, replaces hardware, relocate playgrounds, flowerbeds and portable structures Advises facility director of potential safety hazards and identifies repairs required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3.
• Satisfactory completion of a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for this position are the following: 1.Knowledge of processes which require remembering directions and/or sequences. 2. Knowledge and skill in the operation, control, and cleaning of heavy, power equipment. 3. Knowledge to work safely with heavy tools (axes, picks, tampers, chain saws, etc). 4. Skill in performing routine operator maintenance and adjusting the cutting height of blades of power mowers or in operating weight handling devises when moving heavy loads. Qualifying prior work experience must be clearly described within your resume. Failure to clearly describe all qualifying work experience within your resume, may result in an ineligible rating or may affect your overall vetting process.
