About the Position: This position is located at the Directorate of Resource Management, Resource Management Logistics Purchasing at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), which is on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii.

Duties

Requisition/order medical supplies, act as purchasing agent for medical supplies, non-medical expendable supplies, delegated ordering agent, performing customer assistance functions, performing clerical duties and operating peripheral equipment. Prepare or initiate automated purchase request to include funds certification for medical and non-medical supply requests. Maintain government purchase cards. Serve as buyer for non-medical expendable items. Collects and prepares statistical data related to supply and contract management operations and performance.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position is designated as Mission Essential.
  • This position may require temporary duty (TDY) business travel up to 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: researching automated database for supplies and maintaining an inventory of supplies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Chain Management. OR Combination of experience and education. A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer LiteracyMedical Supply Inventory ManagementTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
