This National Guard position is for a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST - Title 32, Position Description Number D2783000 and is part of the WI 115 LRS, Wisconsin Air National Guard.
Duties
As a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST - Title 32, GS-2001-9, you will manage the unserviceable asset listing and await disposition instructions from Item Managers, etc. Assist customers with the preparation of AF Form 1996s and coordinate with the GLSC for adjusted stock level requests. Coordinate with the GLSC regarding the computed data for base stock levels. Manage and validate the Supply Discrepancy Report program and submit an analysis report to NGB. Manage the customer due-out validation program. Manage the Tracer Action Reconciliation program to ensure all property shipped is received. Responsible for audit and control of accountable supplies and equipment documentation. Perform quality control of transaction documents, identify discrepancies, and coordinate with flight chiefs to correct the problems. Manage the delinquent documents program. Perform base level Records Maintenance functions. Establish, upgrade, downgrade or cancel MICAP due-outs. Establish and maintain bench stocks in coordination with supported activities. Review on-hand balances and process replenishment actions. Coordinate with shops to discuss adequacy of support, resolve problems, provide/receive information, and conduct training. Conduct Demand Processing responsibilities for on/off base customer order requests. Responsible to periodically visit/contact all shops to discuss adequacy of support, resolve problems, provide/receive information or conduct informal training as necessary. Receives information of discrepancies, investigates material, and responds to defective material messages in support of the COSIS program. Audits personal clothing records. Monitors organizational clothing and individual equipment orderd to ensure the completion of supply actions. Ensures logistical items are properly stored and coordinates unit personnel to periodically check items in storage for accountability and serviceability. May operate material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts and stock selectors to move material.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training involving administration of supply management, storage, cataloging, packaging and distribution or other work which provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-2001-09 level, applicant must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training dealing with cost estimates, budgets or funding management. Experience conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for supply activities.
