The position is in the Administrative Services Team of the Administration Branch of the Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division (EFLHD), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) located in Ashburn, VA. The EFLHD is responsible for the program administration of the Federal Lands Highway Program (FLHP) and the design and construction of transportation system projects on Federally-owned lands in 31 States covering the eastern half of the United States.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements. You will be asked a few questions as part of your application but make sure to verify how you meet this experience in your resume or you may be deemed ineligible. For the Grade 12, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-11, it must include:
Experience in analyzing, evaluating, and providing feedback on program operations in order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of work methods, procedures, and management control; AND
Experience advising on building and workspace management, building safety, security, and emergency preparedness issues; AND
Experience maintaining property/files and records management, including ensuring that records and property audits are conducted and kept current.
You cannot use education to qualify at this grade level.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Personnel Security and Safety - Knowledge of methods and controls of personnel, public safety, and security operations; investigation and inspection techniques; or rules, regulations, precautions, and prevention techniques for the protection of people, data, or property.
Oral Communication - Makes clear and convincing oral presentations. Listens effectively; clarifies information as needed.
Written Communication - Writes in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience.
