This TRAINING TECHNICIAN is located in the Force Development Office with an Air National Guard (ANG) Wing, Mission Support Group, Force Support Squadron or Flight and is part of the CA 144 FW.
Duties
THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE, TEMPORARY POSITION NOT TO EXCEED 1 YEAR.
Selectee may be non-competitively extended up to 4 years if/when funding becomes available.
The primary purpose of the TRAINING TECHNICIAN, GS-1702-7/9, is to schedule all formal initial skill, refresher and proficiency training for both officer and enlisted members, which include providing staff planning and multi-level assistance to ensure that required military training objectives are achieved for all assigned units.
Qualifications
TRAINING TECHNICIAN, GS-1702-07 (Trainee): Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-06 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experience or education that demonstrated of competencies - knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors to successfully perform the duties of the position; Possess basic knowledge of Army or Air Force vision, values, organization, policy, and mission; Possesses knowledge in training centers, training programs, schools, and units; Experience in conducting or developing education and training programs.
TRAINING TECHNICIAN,GS-1702-09: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experiences that demonstrated the particular of competencies - knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors to successfully perform the duties of the position; Knowledge of Army or Air Force vision, values, organization, policy, and mission is mandatory; Knowledge in training centers, training programs, schools, and units for these systems. Have experiences in conducting and developing education and training programs; Conducting, supervising, or developing education or training programs; Knowledge in the Army or Air Force education and training policy requirements; Managing programs to include developmental education, voluntary education, advanced academic education, promotion testing, and libraries; Knowledge is mandatory of audio-visual presentations, educational tests and measurements, and instructing techniques.
TRAINEE POSITION: Applicants not meeting full qualifications for the GS-09 position indicated above may be considered for GS-07 trainee, if qualified. Statement-of-Difference of qualification requirements for each are indicated. If appointed as trainee, the selectee may be non-competitively promoted to GS-09 upon meeting full qualifications and recommendations of supervisor.
