This position is with the U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), in the Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs (DCSP), located in Washington, D.C.
This position is at the full performance level.
This position is Inside the bargaining unit.
This position is NOT remote. Selectee will be expected to report to the Washington, D.C. office.
Duties
Applying OSHA, DCSP, and OPR Standard Operating Procedure, OSHA regulations and guidelines pertaining to voluntary programs to develop comprehensive reports, deliver presentations, and make and defend recommendations.
Developing analytical criteria and metrics for the field of operational safety and health, and for the performance and progress and contribution of voluntary program efforts in meeting OSHA and program goals and objectives.
Creating specific recommendations into a plan/set of actions with supporting rationale, justification and data.
Preparing briefings, talking points, presentations, and and white papers for the directorate and OSHA leadership.
Applying up to date knowledge of national and regional office practices, procedures, and field developments for use in implementation of the programs, initiatives and activities within the area of responsibility.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
- Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
To qualify for the GS-13: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-12. Qualifying specialized experience for the GS 13 includes: Evaluating internal controls, programs or operations to determine the effectiveness of policies; performing program analysis to assess the impact of regulatory or policy changes; reviewing reports to provide recommendations to management.
