You will serve as a GOVERNMENT INFORMATION SPECIALIST in the COMMAND FOIA DIVISION; COMMAND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES of NAVAL SEA SYSTEMS COMMAND.
Duties
You will evaluate the impact of the Privacy Act and regulations on the organization's activities, and will ensure compliance with agency privacy program requirements.
You will evaluate confidential personal records, that if released, would constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.
You will represent NAVSEA on issues related to the Privacy Act and other information privacy requirements.
You will assess privacy risks associated with programs, operations, and technology.
You will submit recommendations on federal privacy policy and processes.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position requires that you be able to lift 30 lbs.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-01 (or GS-04 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting with Privacy Act (PA) or Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) program requirements (e.g., tracking privacy metrics, identifying Personal Identifiable Information (PII) violations, presenting privacy training sessions) to ensure the protection or controlled release of sensitive information, or compliance with federal laws and regulations.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- Successful completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree; OR
- A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
