You will serve as a Government Information Specialist in the Command and Staff Office of COMMANDER - NAVAL INSTALLATIONS.
Duties
You will conduct reviews of directives, forms or reports to recommend revision or cancellation.
You will formulate records and information management (RIM) policy or guidance for organizational implementation.
You will conduct periodic records and information management (RIM) quality control reviews, compliance audits, risk assessments and surveys to assess effectiveness of process improvement methods.
You will review directives and forms prior to publication to ensure compliance with federal statutes.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues concerning the effectiveness and efficiency of the Information Management Control Officer program operations, to detect unofficial information collections and the process to make them official, and identify illegally used forms and find viable solutions; 2) Developing new or modified work methods, organizational structures, records and files, management processes and procedures for administering Information Management program services; 3) Establishing systems for records management as it pertains to the retention, filing and archiving of directives and forms; and 4) Developing training materials and conducting training on all facets of directive management, serialization, forms control and processing.
