You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the Civilian Workforce Development Division (014), Policy and Programs Department (01) of OCHR WASHINGTON DC.

Duties

You will serve as a staff member of a civilian human resources team responsible for providing technical advice and operational guidance in various civilian HR program areas. You will participate in the development, execution, evaluation and oversight of civilian HR programs. You will plan and carry out complete projects or portions of broader assignments to resolve complex tasking at the headquarters level. You will manage DON-wide civilian leadership development program and assess skill gaps and determines the need for establishment of new leadership training and career development programs. You will evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of DON command sponsored programs and ensures alignment to the DoD Leadership Development Framework and Continuum. You will provide advice and guidance to Command Training Representatives and leadership development program participants. You will participate in the analysis and assessment of HR programs. You will conduct a variety of short and long range special studies or projects. You will perform other duties as assigned.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in reviewing, evaluating, and validating assessments; Assisting in developing strategic controls and performing assessments of human resources management services; Experience with leadership, compiling and assessing training requirements and development training, and competencies methods and models; Developing reports, metrics and presentation methods; and Collaborating with various agency-level stakeholders to provide continuing data and information on agency HR regulatory compliance.
