The incumbent is responsible for providing a broad range of administrative assistance in support of the management team in Patient Care Services. The incumbent serves as a resource person, responsible for providing administrative assistance and interpretation, revision, and when necessary, corrective action of many applicable administrative functions, activities, operations and programs for which Chief Nurses are responsible.
Duties
Major Duties Include (but not limited to):
Collects, maintains, and summarizes data and prepares a variety of monthly, quarterly and annual reports and logs.
Responsibility for coordinating and maintaining records and documentation of all continuing education programs, in-service education and mandatory training.
Responsible for inspecting/auditing competency files.
Prepares a variety of materials including meeting minutes, letters, memorandums, and policies, disciplinary actions, education requests.
Assists with canteen orders, medical media printing, and organization of various events.
Prepares minutes and memorandums.
Prepares requests (key, space, furniture, etc.), processes PIV requests.
Responsible for employees' timecards.
Responsible for new employee sponsorship.
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Physical Requirements: Work is mostly sedentary; however, some walking, bending, stooping, minor lifting of office equipment and supplies will be required.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GS-06 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
Specialized experience includes:
Creates and maintains variety of records, both electronic and hard copy file system.
Collects, aggregates, and shares data on administrative measures.
Maintains time and attendance records.
Assists with administrative functions with on/off boarding of service employees.
Prepares requests (key, space, furniture, etc.)
To be creditable, this specialized experience must have been equivalent to the GS-05 level in Federal service to qualify at the GS-06.
