Duties
You will make additions, revisions, or deletions to service records or files to keep them current, complete, and accurate in accordance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
You will provide on-the-job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices.
You will resolve simple and informal complaints.
You will distribute and balance workload among personnel in accordance with established workflow.
You will update, inquiry, and process actions through Diary Marine Integrated Personnel System.
You will process standard actions for assigned areas such as assignment, enlistment, meritorious promotion.
You will review reports, forms, documentation and other related information concerning Marine Corps members and construct records.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You may be required to carry items , such as a box of paper, that may weigh as much as 35 or 40 pounds.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing a variety of administrative and technical support functions for the military personnel programs (e.g. certify entitlement actions, process actions, retrieve data and prepare reports), ensuring workload is balanced among the staff, and providing on-the-job training.
