Duties

You will serve as an experienced protocol, visit/meeting coordinator, corporate communications advisor, and to co-lead for both the technical and organizational aspects of the NIWC Pacific command visits program. You will analyze and interprets requirements and secures essential data from sponsoring contacts as available. You will prepare and coordinate agendas and itineraries as assigned by the Branch Head. You will formalize, plan, and confirm that all details and arrangements are made for the accommodation of guests at NIWC Pacific. You will be a liaison to other agencies and foreign embassies as required to ensure coordination of visits by dignitaries and to obtain pertinent recognitions, equivalent U.S. rank, pronunciation of name, any special desires of visitors, etc. You will plan visits to precisely fit the needs of each case considering the particulars of protocol, visitor’s country (if non-domestic), position cultures, etc. You will conduct analytical research supporting the command’s strategic planning and situational awareness and support of current and future business opportunities.

Requirements

• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Generally, current Federal employees applying to STRL jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications and pay band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and documented in your resume.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

NO-03: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting with conducting analytical research supporting the command's strategic planning and situational awareness and support of current and future business opportunities. Assist with performing studies/surveys to determine the effectiveness and/or understand the needs and goals of the command. Assist with organizing large amounts of data and render them into usable tools for program- and parts -related analysis, using complex formulas in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. NO-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting analytical research supporting the command's strategic planning and situational awareness and support of current and future business opportunities. Performing studies/surveys to determine the effectiveness and/or understand the needs and goals of the command. Organizing large amounts of data and render them into usable tools for program- and parts -related analysis, using complex formulas in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
