You will serve as a Wargaming Exercise Specialist in the Fleet Synthetic Training (N7) Directorate of TACTICAL TRAINING GROUP PACIFIC.

Duties

You will provide naval aviation subject matter expertise to Tactical Training Group Pacific (TTGP) in Joint, Navy and Marine Corps operating concepts and integration issues. You will advise and mentor other U.S. Government Agency trainees, develop warfighting training scenarios with emphasis on distributed training in a Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) environment. You will direct the work of Government Agency role-playing contractors to ensure a realistic LVC training environment. You will oversee the work of Government Agency contractors who are providing training with emphasis on distributed training in an LVC environment and feedback to the other U.S. Government Agency trainees and military mentors. You will provide oversight to scenario development efforts across a broad range of exercise types, and training audience echelons in support of U.S. National Military Strategy for the Pacific Fleet training program. You will implement strategic communications themes, including those of multinational partners in exercise scenario development and scripting processes. You will negotiate on issues related to the development and integration of Pacific Fleet, Navy, Joint, and International Distributed Training. You will perform long and short term budgeting actions to ensure TTGP funding requirements are fully articulated to outside organizations. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and assessing air warfare tactics, techniques and procedures or related training system architectures to develop or enhance warfighting training scenarios, synthetic exercises and classroom training in support of fleet training.
