Qualifications
We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:
To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as leading or evaluating program activities related to disability access or limited English proficiency access; and advising on performance measures and resource information for a program or project.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Knowledge of laws, policies, and regulations related to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; 2) Knowledge of laws, policies, and regulations related to Executive Order 13166; 3) Skill in program management; 4) Ability to provide language assistance services to persons with LEP; 5) Ability to advise on reasonable modifications and auxiliary aids/services for persons with disabilities; 6) Skill in program analysis; 7) Ability to provide recommendations on matters related to disability and limited English proficiency access; 8) Skill in managing contractual activities.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
