This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This Logistics Management Specialist position is assigned to the Program Executive Office, Command Control Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T), Program Management Office Tactical Radios, Readiness Management Division, located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Duties
Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist concerned with directing, developing, and performing logistics management operations involving planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Logistics Support for major complex systems.
Responsible for cradle to grave intensive logistics management to support complex, major weapon systems from concept through field deployment.
Performs the full range of planning, liaison, contract monitoring, equipment and organizational interface, control of other government elements supporting the effort and logistics phases of field exercises and tests.
Support includes the management and interface with logistics element managers, contract support services, training facilities, Integrated Logistics Support Management organizations and users at contractor facilities and government activities.
Coordinates with representatives and organizations concerning precedent setting, controversial, sensitive and/or complex issues and their impact on military requirements, various functions, Congressional concerns, and private sector organizations.
Requirements

- One year trial/probationary period may be required.

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for Foundational certification in the Acquisition Career Field Life Cycle Logistics within 36 months of entrance on duty.
- Business travel required up to 25% of the time.
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade NH-02/GS-11 or equivalency which includes: 1)Responsible for implementing regulatory guidance to provide product support for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and/or Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems; 2)Coordinate with other Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) teams to plan and execute materiel fielding and property transfers adhering to audit readiness processes; and, 3)Plan, budget, and coordinate sustainment strategies to enable materiel readiness for the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).
