This position serves as the Information Technology (IT) Program Manager for the Cybersecurity engineering solution area located within the Information Technology Management office of the Department of Justice (DOJ), National Security Division (NSD). The mission of the NSD is to coordinate the Department's efforts in carrying out its core missions of combating terrorism and protecting national security.

As an IT Program Manager (INFOSEC) you will perform duties such as: Monitoring and tracks project milestones and deliverables. Participating in budget planning activities and develop cost estimating strategies for future projects. Providing application, network, and information security services that provide secure, redundant, and stable IT systems in support of IT operations Properly applying the Zero Trust pillars to the assigned IT programs.

Requirements

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of IT Program Manager (INFOSEC) at (GS-2210-14), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to. If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information). Basic Requirements per OPM Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the competencies below: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Minimum Qualification: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 pay grade level or pay band within the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector or public sector: Utilizing adaptive frameworks in IT program management; AND Designing systems for vulnerability assessments, patches, or security management You MUST meet all qualification requirements, including Time-in-Grade, by the closing date of this announcement, 12/07/2023.
