About the Position: Serves as project manager responsible for overall planning, execution, control and closure of high-dollar value, national priority, environmentally sensitive and/or urgent civil works projects associated with flood risk management, navigation, hydropower, environmental, recreation, disaster response and recovery, work for others, water supply, special projects and other civil works related activities.

Duties

Ensure organizations strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team and integrated into team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services. Coach the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques. Assist in identifying courses of actions regarding issues at hand. Lead the team in setting well defined goals to advance the mission. Establishes work schedules and assures overall coordination of work assignments to affect a smooth, well integrated organization. Leads project delivery teams in managing scope, cost, schedule, risk, procurement strategies, and all other aspects of project execution. Communicate with others verbally and in writing in an accurate, clear, concise, and professional manner. Negotiate with multiple entities to find mutually acceptable solutions to problems as they arise. Lead discussions with a variety of groups and individuals using clear, articulate, and professional language. Develop and execute communication plans involving engagement with Corps leadership, external stakeholders, and the public. Assure commitments are met in support of project execution. Develop, coordinate, and manage project management plans. Analyze project and contract schedules and performance to identify critical activities, sequences, and timelines. Develop and manage project budget; monitoring performance and obligations/expenditures. Follow risk management practices to identify, assess, manage, respond to, and communicate risks.
