Duties
You will serve as a COMPUTER SCIENTIST in the SOFTWARE ENGINEERING BRANCH (N641), SYSTEMS INTEGRATION SERVICES DIVISION (N64), INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICE DEPARTMENT (N6), STENNIS SPACE CENTER, MS.
You will provide plans, solutions and resolutions for technical needs related to software engineering and promoting software engineering cohesion within the division.
You will monitor and coordinate technical software and cyber security task completion for the engineering and sustainment of ashore NAVOCEANO N64 custom software capabilities.
You will perform Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) duties in accordance with established policies, procedures and the COR Appointment Letter.

Qualifications
BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
EXPERIENCE:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience performing software development, ensuring adherence to software engineering standards and guidelines, transitioning software, and performing software maintenance duties.
Experience utilizing cloud software development tools and testing tools such as Jmeter
Experience performing ArcGIS Pro (or Enterprise) application development, ArcGIS Server development including creating maps and geoprocessing services.
Experience performing Python and/or ArcPy, Perl, C# Web application development, Javascript, Java API, Microsoft .Net application development.
Experience maintaining Visual Studio Professional 2017 or later, Java development, Database programming utilizing Oracle PL/SQL, Database querying using Oracle SQL.
Experience incorporating Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) data standards into software such as Web Map Services (WMS), Web Coverage Services (WCS), Web Feature Services (WFS) and Web Processing Services (WPS).
Experience applying cybersecurity best practices, secure code scanning and testing tools such as HPFortify and SonarQube.
Experience maintaining Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) such as the Application Security and Development (ASD-STIG).
