As a Intelligence Operations Specialist at the GS-0132-12, you will be part of FSEM Security Services, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for applying advanced analytical skills in identifying, assessing, and reporting on highly complex insider threat issues, and sharing and promoting access to such information to continuously improve agency posture.
Duties
Report directly to the Security Assessment Branch Chief and serves as an intelligence expert on matters pertaining to the protection of classified information and threats from potential insider and foreign adversaries.
Research, review, interpret, evaluate, and integrate disparate sources of intelligence data, and other sources of classified data, plans, and/or products pertaining to OPM organizations and program offices.
Contribute to oral and/or written briefings products for senior leadership on intelligence data.
Coordinate, monitor, and integrate reports of specific trends and patterns in methods of insider threats adversaries.
Develop security awareness training for OPM cleared and covered personnel.
Qualifications
For the GS 12: You must have at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level which demonstrates all of the following: Experience in managing an agency insider threat program; interviewing possible agency threats to obtain human intelligence; and demonstrated experience in evaluating and interpreting analytical findings.
Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level.
