About the Position: Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army. Duties

Monitor daily Material Requirements Planning program exception messages to determine depot material requirements in order to meet constantly changing program production schedules. Review and initiate appropriate procurement action for all material requirements on assigned programs. Engage Pre-Shop Analysis (PSA) and quality personnel when required in order to ascertain if substitute parts are available or acceptable. Update and maintains the (CCIR) in support of critically needed parts required to prevent work stoppages, and monitors daily. Engage in Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW) data daily to accurately reflect the most current inhibitors and part statuses. Participate in Depot Level Production Meetings and communicate the status of parts that have been requisitioned or received.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Monitoring on hand inventory and requisition quantities to prevent excess material inventory and coordinating action to retain material for ongoing or future program requirements; Performing Material Requirements Planning exception message review and execution; AND updating and maintaining inventory databases in support of critically needed parts to prevent work stoppages. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Contracting/ProcurementProgram ManagementSupply Inventory Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
