Duties
Typical work assignments include:
Supervises a staff engaged in substantive professional and technical work and ensures timely performance of satisfactory volumes and quality of work, acceptance, amendment, or rejection of work.
Maintains current position descriptions, establishes performance standards, evaluates employee performance, identifies developmental training needs of employees, and provides or makes provision for such development training.
Leads the divisions intelligence oversight, reporting, and analytic efforts by conducting program review activities, providing authoritative findings, guidance and recommendations on office-wide programs and advanced analytic studies.
Screens, evaluates, consolidates, and analyzes large quantities of highly technical and specialized intelligence data from various sources and independently determines if management should be advised of any developments requiring immediate action.
Qualifications
To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required experience for the respective grade level in which you are applying.
You qualify for the GS-15 grade level, if you have:
EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level (or equivalent) performing the following duties:
Serving as the organization's technical authority on intelligence research, analytical principles, and intelligence operations;
Planning, implementing and monitoring progress in national-level intelligence and information sharing programs; and
Preparing comprehensive reports on program operations, evaluations, and reviews.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
