You will serve as a Schedules Technician in the Training Squadron THIRTY-ONE (VT-31) at Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi (NASCC) TX.

Duties

You will coordinate all scheduling requirements as tasked by the scheduling authority in the development and execution of the daily flight schedule. You will maintain information in order to compile and organize a variety of recurring and special reports, correspondence, charts, and tables related to squadron operations and student training. You will process and execute the daily flight schedule in the Training Management System (TMS) post and distribute as directed. You will assist the Schedules Specialist and Schedules Officers in the creation and updating of operational summaries and other flight related reports and schedule reconciliation requirements. You will update and maintain all tracking boards.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing administrative support by using office automation systems to track and maintain documents, records, or files to support coordinating training schedules. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Have successfully completed four years of education above high school level.

Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent
