About the Position: The Contact Representative will be stationed in an individual office with a window on the second floor of Kenner Army Health Clinic. The hours are 0800 to 1630 with a 30 minute lunch each day. Tour of duty is Monday through Friday, telework possible after training is completed and competencies are validated. The applicant can expect to achieve knowledge of a variety of health/dental insurance plans and increased customer service.
Duties
Maintain database of past and current cases, and forwards monthly reports to higher authority.
Utilize automated data processing system and a variety of software packages.
Help beneficiaries understand the TRICARE claims process.
Serve as the Debt Collection Assistance Officer.
Counsel soldiers and family members who are being medically separated or retired.
Advise service members on processing procedures and appeal rights, entitlements, and benefits.
Requirements

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination. A candidate selected to this position will be required to sign a statement consenting to annual seasonal influenza vaccination.
- This position has a mandatory Hepatitis Vaccination.
- This position will require a BLS certification.

Specialize experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 which includes experience providing advice and counseling on a variety of health care options; Experience utilizing various computer automation systems; Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written correspondence.
