This position is located at US Mint,HQ/Dir/Sales and Marketing Directorate. As a Supervisory Writer-Editor, you will be responsible for the development and design of a variety of marketing media, promotion, sales, and service of a wide variety of numismatic and bullion products.

Duties

As a Supervisory Writer-Editor, you will: Develop, write, and edit a wide variety of communications, policies and outreach materials for a diverse audience, including the general public, numismatic customers, Mint employees, Mint supervisors and senior management, and officials at the Mint and Treasury. Provide periodic reports and updates for various coin programs, including quarterly updates on commemorative coins sales and background materials for coin launches; material responsive to requests from U.S. Mint and Treasury Department officials; and information for the Office of Corporate Communications. Ensure that all programmatic and policy information is accurate and accessible. Materials submitted for review and editing are developed by multiple authors with varying levels of writing ability; come from sources throughout the United States Mint; and are in varying levels of quality, often needing significant revision, editing, and proofreading.

Requirements

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Planning and managing work of subordinates; AND Preparing government reports developed by others for publication; AND Advising and assisting authors during the writing stage; AND Evaluating the logical and effective sequence of draft and final report narrative; AND Evaluating the overall length and tone of draft and final reports based on the objectives, scope, and methodology of the audit/evaluation.
