About the Position: Provides life cycle software support to Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Sensors (IEWS) systems. As a lead or principal analyst provides a variety of software services and analyses to ensure suitability, reliability, maintainability, interoperability, and configuration integrity of software used in avionics, electronic warfare, cyber electromagnetic, sensors and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and related Mission Critical Defense Systems (MCDS).
Duties
Serve as a technical expert regarding software support for Intelligence Electronic Warfare and Sensors (IEWS) systems in one or more IT functions.
Apply expertise in the design and implementation of new requirements and modifications to existing software as well as software reprogramming.
Evaluate software designs; evaluate systems configurations and monitor implementation.
Provide IT advice, assistance, and training to customers who manage the development, production, and sustainment of Intelligence Electronic Warfare and Sensors (IEWS) systems.
Perform project and/or contract management duties
Plan and provide customer support services including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and training.
Develop, coordinate, and promote interagency cooperative efforts in the management, utilization, and operation of data processing and data communication resources.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special- Sensitive, Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug testing, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion.
- Commensurate with mission requirements, the incumbent can be required to work irregular duty hours to include working nights, weekends, and holidays.
- May be expected to travel up to 25% of the time, sometimes on short notice to worldwide locations, using the fastest mode of transportation available.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. To qualify you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below based on the grade level required of the position being filled:

AND
In addition to the competencies listed above, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-02/GS-11) in the Federal service which includes: 1) Developing and/or analyzing software design and programming; 2) Providing information technology troubleshooting, assistance and/or guidance to customers; and 3) Performing contract management duties such as preparing procurement documentation, evaluating proposals, approving acquisition requests, or monitoring contractor performance.
This is a pay banded position. This NH-03 position is subject to the Non-Supervisory Senior Professional control point of the CECOM Control Point Policy, which encompasses GS-12/step 1 to GS-13/step 10 under the General Schedule (GS) system.
Education
