You will serve as a EQUAL EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST in the COMMAND OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT DIVISION of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will utilize EEO Programs such as the Special Emphasis Program and the Reasonable Accommodation Program.

Requirements

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-4/5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties:
GS-5:
Assisting in providing guidance on the EEO Complaint process;
Providing program information/ training to employees, supervisors/ managers;
Presenting briefings to supervisors/managers;
Supporting the development of policies and instructions relating to all procedures and processes; and
Reviewing requests for reasonable accommodation/accessibility to ensure required actions are taken in a timely manner.
GS-7:
Assisting with complaint procedures and processes, solutions and alternatives, complaint negotiations, and processing formal complaints;
Drafting, formulating, amending, revising and preparing of operating policies and guidelines that address the collection and analysis of workforce data
Reviewing requests for reasonable accommodation/accessibility pursuant to the Executive Orders, EEOC's guidance, the Rehabilitation Act, and established case precedents in a timely manner.
Conducting the appropriate legal research and analyzing supporting documentation, to provide appropriate guidance to management on reasonable accommodation/accessibility issues; and
Identifying problems with data and data systems to recommend solutions and changes in policies and procedures relating to the collection and maintenance of data.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-5:
4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree
GS-7:
1 full year of graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement
