This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This Logistics Management Specialist position is assigned to the Program Executive Office, Command Control Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T), Program Management Office, Mission Command Unit Set, Fielding Branch, located in Fort Cavazos, TX.

Duties

Provide guidance and administrative control on work produced by the C4ISR support team for quality and quantity of the work produced. Assesses unit requirements and determines the best course of action to facilitate unit training programs and command training resources. Assures compliance of systems integrity by conducting ongoing Information Assurance and Vulnerability Assessment and reviews procedures of the organization to ensure the system access is not being compromised. Configures and Installs software updates when requested. Obtains and provides clarification of general information in regards to existing regulatory provision and negotiates deviations from established directives. Provides sound advice and guidance to senior level officials to resolve difficult and controversial problems that develop from changing objectives and requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for Practitioner certification in the Acquisition Career Field Engineering and Technical Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
  • Business travel required up to 50% of the time.
  • Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade NH-02/GS-11 or equivalency which includes: 1)Coordinate the synchronization of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, and Recognizance systems to provide training; 2)Provide guidance to an integrated team on the operation and troubleshooting of diverse information systems/network operations; and 3)Provide technical assistance to the organization on the requirements related to training. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).
