About the Position: This position is within the Directorate of Public Works Division located at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA.
Duties
Conduct surveillance over performed in-house and out contractors, project plans, and mission assignments.
Provide oversight regarding the organizations Facilities Management programs.
Evaluate project submissions and consolidate into a comprehensive internal and external master plan.
Develop policy and guidance in support of major business operation programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- This is a mission essential position and may require shift work and/or work on rotating shifts to provide coverage in the evenings, weekends, holidays and other situations.
- Must submit an OGE-450 Financial Disclosure statement upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- One-year supervisory probationary period is required, unless previously completed.
- One-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) preparing forecast reports of labor estimates, equipment, and material requirements; 2) analyzing data preventive programs for facility management to develop short and long-range goals; 3) providing technical guidance to staff and higher levels of maintenance requirements; and 4) implementing quality practices to improve business of operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
