You will serve as the Assistant Program Manager for Battery and Energy Safety & Transition (BEST) program in the Marine Engineering Group (SEA 05Z) located in the Naval Systems Engineering and Logistics Directorate (SEA 05) at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C.
Duties
You will manage program requirements including risk management, budget and execution strategies.
You will assess the technical, schedule, and cost risk to the program.
You will implement improvements to production and programmatic deficiencies.
You will use analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing program execution and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
You will perform activities including program planning, task execution, cost assessment, contracting, scheduling, technical and risk assessment, and reporting.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (or GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing financial, contractual, and programmatic management for large or high visibility programs involving Navy energy storage systems.
