Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS FOR GS-12: Candidates must have at least 1 full year of experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service in performing work involving the collection, analysis, interpretation, and development of specialized information concerning equipment. This experience may have been gained by working as a skilled technician or maintenance worker, sales or service engineer, or planner or estimator dealing with manufacture, utilization, repair, or operation of equipment; reviewing and applying technical specifications and requirements; analyzing equipment and forecasting spare parts requirements; applying various calculation techniques used in the provisioning process to determine the range and depth of item selection with complex equipment and systems; reading and interpreting engineering change orders, equipment requisitions, shop orders, and work orders; analyzing contract specifications and examining pertinent equipment to determine if specifications are met; development of maintenance, maintenance effectiveness analysis, repair or production operations to determine methods of improvement. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
